Getting Started

Installing Wordpress

A working version of WordPress CMS must be installed before you can install Infodex theme. If you need help installing WordPress, follow the tutorials

Installation

Download theme

Download Infodex theme files from Your account > Downloads tab:

Installing Infodex

Once you've downloaded the installation file, extract it and locate a file called infodex.zip. After unzipping the file you should upload it to your WordPress installation:

Installing from WordPress admin

Login to WordPress admin
Go to Appearance > Themes and click Add New
Click on "Choose File" browse the path to Infodex themes and select infodex.zip
Click on "Install Now" and start uploading
Your theme will appear in the theme list
After successful theme installation please click - Activate

Installing via FTP

Using FTP client, login to the server where your WordPress website is hosted
Using FTP client, navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory under your WordPress website's root directory
Using FTP client, upload the Rx-Theme directory to themes directory on remote server
Your theme will appear in the theme list
After successful theme installation please click - Activate

Theme wizard installation

Rx-theme comes with installation wizard plugin Rx Theme Wizard. All that you need is to install recommended plugin after theme activation(you can find the service notice in the top panel of WordPress dashboard).

After successful installation plugin will activate automatically. Rx Theme Wizard can install all required plugins, selected skin, and also import demo data for your theme. All that you need is to start install (you can find the service notice with "Start Install" button in the top panel of WordPress dashboard).

On the next step you will processed to theme wizard dashboard, here you can find your system information to be confident that all system indicators are compliance with the system installation requirements.

Demo Content and Plugin installation

In order to start demo content installation please click - Install Demo Content.

Skins

The next step is the skin choosing, after that you can click - "Start Install" button.

Plugins

The next step is to configure plugins which will be installed to your theme, after that click - "Next". During the installation process you can see the status bar and installation details for each plugin.

Demo Content

After successful plugin installation you have to choose in which way you want to install demo data on your future site.

Important! There are three available options, look closely to choose the more appropriate for you and click - "Next" button.

On the next step after choosing the appropriate option you will be prompted to enter your WordPress user password in order to process sample data importing. Here you can see the progress and completion status.

After the sample data importing there will be regenerating thumbnails process starting.

When installation and importing process be finished you will be redirected to Congratulation page, from there you can start customize your theme or take a tour.

Plugins

After installing and activating the theme your can install the plugins that are included to the theme. You can choose the necessary or just install all the proposed plugins. You will be able to delete unnecessary ones later. After theme installation you will receive the following notification in the top

Headers & Footers

Header and footer options can be selected from the theme Customizer (under Appearance > Customize > Header > General), and for footer (under Appearance > Customize > Footer > General) with the exception of the Overlay header style which is selected on a per page basis from the Page Settings metabox.

In addition you are able to use Elementor addon for header and footer composing.

Menus

You need setting menu for theme when theme installed.

Detailed operation as followsпјљ

Open Menus Setting througth "Admin" -> "Appearance" -> "Menus".
Create a menu or use you already created menu.
Add pages or link for your menu.
Add your menu for theme Locations Panel.
All save, then setting done.

Also Menus editing are available through the "Appearance > Customize > Menus" options.

Blog

If you want to create the blog page, firstly, you need to create a simple page. How to do this read the previous section of this documentation

On the WordPress sidebar navigate to Posts > Add New
Enter a Title for your post.
Then write something on the "Description" area.
Add Tags from the right side. Type the name of the tag in the field, separate multiple tags with commas.
Choose Format of the post (more info below on this post)
Select/add a minimum one Category to for that post
Set a Featured Image.
Click Publish or Update button.

Feature Image

Featured images, also known as post thumbnails, are popular features in WordPress themes. Today, most WordPress themes have built-in support for post thumbnails. This is just a Thumbnail of your page or post is associated with you can click on it to access a page. This is the image associated with the post you will see in the index page, category archives, or gallery layouts.

Featured Videos

You can upload a Youtube or a Vimeo video to be displayed in the featured image section of the post.

Inner Section

In order to create complex layouts you can use inner Section widget to add nested columns within a section.

Content width: - Select the desired content width, boxed with custom with or full width
Columns Gap: - Select the desired gap between columns
Height: - Select the desired height
Content Position: - Align content by selecting the desired content position
HTML Tag: - Insert the desired html tag
Structure: - This option is for structure displaying also it is possible to reset the structure

Button

Type: - You can choose the button type
Text: - You can add button text
Link: - In this field you can add your external / internal link
Alignment: - You can set the alignment of the button
Size: - You can choose the size of the button
Icon: - You can select the icon for button, also you can set the position and spacing between button text and icon.

Image

Choose Image: - This is where you choose your image. Click on the frame and the WordPress media library will pop up, letting you choose a pre-existing image, or upload a new image.
Image Size: - Choose the size of the image: Thumbnail, medium, medium large, large, full, custom etc.
Alignment: - Align the image to the left, right or center of the screen.
Caption: - Add caption text to the bottom of the image. This can later be styled in the style tab.
Link to: - Make the image link to a URL, media file or have it stay with no link.

Divider

Style: - Choose between solid, double, dotted or dashed styles.
Weight: - Control the thickness of the divider.
Color: - Choose the color of the divider.
Width: - Control the width of the divider as percentage from 0 to 100 percent.
Alignment: - Align the divider to the left, center or right of the page.
Gap: - Control the space above and below the divider.

Google Maps

Address: - You can point the particular address in format: District or Street, Town, Country
Zoom: - Select the desired zoom value
Height: - Select the desired block height
Prevent scroll: - Prevent or dont prevent map scrolling

Heading

Title: - You can change the text that appears in the heading.
Link: - You can add a link the heading will link to, and gives you the option to open the link in another window.
Size: - You can change the heading to small, medium, large, XL or XXL.
HTML Tag: - You can be set to H1..H6, Div, Span or paragraph.
Alignment: - Can also be set to left, right, center or justified.

Icon

View: - Choose between default, stacked or framed.
Icon: - Choose from a list of Font Awesome icons.
Link: - Set the icon to link to a URL, and choose if the link open in the same window or in a new window.
Alignment: - Align the icon to left, center or right.

Spacer

Space: - Define the space value for desktop, tablet and mobile device

You are able to use current theme to create one single product (site) for you.

The Extended License.

You are able to resell the single product to other clients. Is required if the end user must pay to use the end product.

Package

infodex.zip

This file located inside the Infodex Theme folder, this is the installable WordPress file you'll need to install or update Infodex manually.

infodex-child-theme.zi

This file located inside the theme package folder, this is a child theme you can use to make changes to Infodex's core theme files. In case of theme modifying We strongly recommend to use the Child Theme then. That way, when the parent theme is updated, your modifications are preserved. You don't have to create your own child theme, just use the particular one zipped child theme.

documentation.html

This file located inside the Infodex Theme folder and contains link to the user documentation.
